Role Overview
We're looking for a Product Designer to shape the visual identity and user experience of PrizeTrail across iOS and Android platforms. You'll create intuitive interfaces, design engaging gamification elements, and build a cohesive design system that delights users and motivates them to stay active.
This role is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual skills with deep UX thinking. You'll work closely with engineering and product to bring ideas from concept to polished implementation, ensuring consistency across both platforms while respecting each platform's design conventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, engaging user interfaces for iOS and Android apps
- Create gamification elements including badges, achievements, progress visualizations, and reward animations
- Build and maintain a comprehensive design system with reusable components
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
- Design marketing assets including app store screenshots and promotional graphics
- Ensure designs follow Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design principles
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and analytics data
- Stay current with mobile design trends and gamification best practices
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in product design, preferably for mobile apps
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work for iOS and/or Android
- Proficiency in Figma (required)
- Deep understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems
- Strong visual design skills including typography, color theory, and layout
- Ability to create interactive prototypes
- Experience with user research and usability testing methods
- Excellent communication skills to present and defend design decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing gamification or rewards systems
- Motion design and animation skills (After Effects, Lottie, Rive)
- Experience with health or fitness apps
- Illustration or iconography skills
- Basic understanding of SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose
- Experience with design-to-code tools
