Role Overview
We're looking for a Junior iOS Developer to join our mobile team and help build and enhance the PrizeTrail iOS app. You'll work directly with Swift and SwiftUI to create engaging user experiences, implement HealthKit and watchOS integrations, and optimize real-time step tracking functionality.
This is an ideal opportunity for a developer with foundational iOS skills who is eager to grow in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll collaborate closely with design and product to deliver pixel-perfect experiences that motivate users to stay active.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain iOS app features using Swift and SwiftUI
- Implement and optimize HealthKit, CoreMotion, and other step tracking integrations for accurate step tracking
- Build and enhance Apple Watch companion app functionality
- Create smooth, engaging UI animations and transitions
- Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect interfaces
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
- Debug and resolve issues across different iOS devices and versions
- Integrate with Firebase backend services for real-time data synchronization
- Stay current with iOS development best practices and new Apple technologies
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in iOS development
- Proficiency in the Swift programming language
- Experience with SwiftUI framework
- Familiarity with iOS SDK and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON parsing
- Experience with Git version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have:
- Experience with HealthKit or health-related apps
- Familiarity with watchOS development
- Experience with databases and cloud deployment
- Knowledge of App Store submission and review processes
- Published apps on the App Store
